The Sky Project

Overview of service

Based in Bristol, The Sky Project provide training and support to a range of professionals, communities, schools, universities, professional bodies and any other relevant group on the issues of forced marriage and honour based violence. Set up in 2009, The Sky Project is a charity that is actively working to reduce the number of forced marriage cases in and around Bristol and the South West.

Forced Marriage is a criminal offence. If you or someone you know is being forced to marry in the UK or abroad, please contact the Forced Marriage Unit on 0207-0080151. If that person is in immediate danger, please contact the police.


Our aims are to:

- Educate and raise awareness of forced marriage amongst communities and professional bodies
- Train professionals on the role they can play in preventing a forced marriage
- Create a multi-agency network of support services in Bristol
- Work towards providing counselling and support for victims, their friends and family
