Overview of service

OTR offers free, confidential and self-referral mental health and wellbeing information and support designed to help with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, stress, loss and relationship problems.

OTR run various one-to-one and group workshops on issues affecting young people, including its 'Hub', the first point of contact for young people wanting to get in touch. OTR also offers drop-in groups for parents and training and consultancy for professionals working with young people.

We run various projects across North Somerset which you can find out about on our website. They have been designed with the help of young people, and all of them are delivered by a team of super-friendly staff and volunteers. These include:

- Drop in hubs. OTR’s Hubs are a safe and relaxed space you can simply drop into for a chat – no appointments needed. They are there for you to meet our team and discover more about what we offer. You’ll find they are a great place to learn about mental health and self-care too. These sessions run every other week throughout the year, and will take place every Wednesday at Castle Batch Community Centre, 3.30-5.30pm. Please check the website and social media for updates regarding any closures, especially during school holidays.

- The Resilience Lab. Run by a team with a whole host of ideas about how to cope with stress, stay relaxed, discover strengths, reach out to others and keep on top of things when life gets tough. The sessions run weekly over 5 weeks. The Lab runs as a series of free and fun workshops, packed full of activities, games and ideas to help look after your mental health and build your resilience. You can also check out some of our online resources we’ve been developing!

- Workshops focused on self esteem, body image and mental health.

- 1.1 Therapies. At OTR we offer a wide range of one-to-one therapies for 11-17 year olds. So whatever you’ve got going on, and however you want to work through it, we have something for you.
